Personal data & GDPR

The NPAs handling of personal data according to GDPR

The The Nordic Permaculture Academy (CVR 43791214, DK), from here on mentioned as the NPA, handles personal data in accordance with Danish law and GDPR. When your personal data is registered, you have the right by law to receive certain information about how this happens. Below you find this information.

Whether you come to us as a registered apprentice, have joined as a mentor, or if you cooperate with the NPA in another way, we need to handle personal data that is necessary and relevant for the NPA to function and to manage our administration. The NPA is the Personal Data Controller for the processing of your personal data. if you have any questions, you can always contact us through our website:

As an apprentice and as a mentor, your personal data is registered in the NPA administrative system, the operations of which are handled by external parties with whom the NPA has a Personal Data Assistant Agreement. Today, this party is Google, but that may change in the future. In that case, you will be notified and asked for consent. We also use Google as a working platform. Personal data in relation to teaching events, contact and administration among participants and mentors, need to be shared in order for the NPA to function well. This means that your name, your email and your address, can be shared with other people registered with the NPA.

The following information is registered or may be registered about you, but it is not automatically shared with others: personal website address, social security number, national registration details, study evaluations, certifications and other authorizations achieved, absence and reason for absence. Processing of personal data that is to be considered sensitive, for example personal data concerning health, is only carried out when it is necessary and supported by law.

Consent is the legal basis for processing personal data. By joining as an apprentice or mentor, you consent to the above.

Additional processing and sharing of personal data can happen when the NPA applies for funding, or in collaborative events, e.g. teaching, trainings, external courses, diploma presentations and accreditations, or international Permaculture meetings. In these cases you will be asked for your consent to additionally share your personal data, through the NPA or through the collaborative parties at that specific time. At all times, the NPA will have updated Personal Data Assistant Agreements with the collaborative parties in question.

The legal basis for additional processing and sharing of personal data, is Consent. You are of course free to not give your consent, but that could mean that you can not join that specific collaborative event. But we always try to find a solution. Contact us if you are registered at the NPA and you have a question:

Contracts is the legal basis among collaborating organizations, for processing and sharing personal data.

Additionally we have to share personal data, when we are bound to do so by law.
